Families are vital to Pasadena Covenant because spiritual formation begins in the home. We seek to support you and your kids by providing quality programs and opportunities for parents and children to connect with God, our church community, and the broader world. There are many ways for children and families to connect at PCC.

Our Mission

10:30 am Sunday Morning Opportunities for Infants through 5th Grade

Infants – 0 - 23 month in the nursery   Nusery

The youngest members of our church family (ages 0 - 23 months) learn about God's love in simple ways:  through a warm and caring welcome, a gentle hug, a laugh, a smile.

A room for nursing moms (with video feed from worship) is available in the lobby of the sanctuary as well.

Two- & Three-Year- Olds

10:25 a.m.-11:45 p.m.:  2 – 3 year olds meet in the downstairs preschool room   Ground Floor, Preschool Building

2's & 3's begin their time in the Godly Play Story Room.  Godly play is an interactive, hands-on storytelling program that emphasizes worship, wonder, and expriencing God's presence.  After the story they return to their classroom for snack, crafts and free play.

Ages 4 Years Old - 5th Grade Begin in the Worship Service

10:30 a.m.  Ground Floor, Sanctuary

We strive to be a multigenerational church, singing a mix of contemporary songs and hymns and finding ways for all generations to seek and experience God together. Children four years old through fifth grade are encouraged to participate in the worship service for the first 30 minutes and then are invited to participate in age-appropriate classes.

Pre-K & Kindergarten

11:00 a.m.-11:45 p.m.  Second Floor, Preschool Building

After dismissal from the worship service, kids four and five years old go the Godly Play Story Room. Godly Play, is an interactive, hands-on storytelling program that emphasizes worship, wonder, and experiencing God's presence. After the story they go to their classrooms to follow up on the story through crafts and games.

Club 1-2-5 (1st-5th grade)

11:00 a.m.-11:45 p.m.  Second Floor, Carlson Hall

After dismissal from the worship service, kids in grades one through five have a fun and interactive time, discussing and asking questions about our faith and engaging in lots of hands-on crafts, games and other activities. Their time together includes both large group Bible study and small group follow-up. On the first Sunday of each month, the children in grades 1 - 5 stay in the worship to participate in the Communion service.

During the Week

Children's Choir (1st-6th grade)

Rehearsals (will resume September 14, 2016): Wednesdays, 5:45-7:00 p.m. Choir Room

The Pasadena Covenant Children's Choir sings monthly on Sunday mornings and performs a musical in the spring. PasCov Kids' Ministry

On Sunday mornings (10:30 am) PCC Kids' Ministry will begin a three-part series using fun, interactive elements to help kids see the grace and goodness of Christ in the grand arc of Scripture:

2015-16:  Journey IN the Promised Land (learning from Jesus' parables how to live as a community in the Kingdom of God)
2016-17:  Journey FROM the Promised Land (learning from Acts & the Epistles what it means to share God's love with a broken & beautiful world)

Journey IN the Promised Land ·  God's Big Welcome  · Sunday mornings at 10:30am

We've arrived! Last year we studied the Journey TO the promised land—stories from the Old Testament of how God led his people. Now the excitement begins: we've arrived in the Promised Land, and JESUS is here! In April we will focus on Jesus' teachings and answer the question: who is Jesus?

Join our Kids' Ministry Team!  Volunteers needed for summer & fall • particularly for our adorable 2 & 3 year olds!

More than 50 kids are a part of our ministry every Sunday—growing, learning, and responding to the truth of God's love. We have an amazing team that is blessed to watch them grow, hear their often profound questions, and see how God is at work in these young lives. We need volunteers to join our team with all ages, but particularly for the 2 and 3 year old class. A great way to sample this ministry and see what it's all about is with summer Sunday School—no planning or prep is needed, just come alongside to serve as mentor and friend to our kids. This summer we'll be meeting together on the courtyard for "stories by the sea"—experiencing Jesus' parables—led by Colleen Thaxton and Vikki Randall. You can volunteer 2, 3 or more Sundays—just contact Vikki at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

9am Sundays, February 26 through April 9: Journey to the Cross, photo edition!

The  youth ministry will be teaming up with the kids' ministry at 9am Sundays (Feb. 26 - April 9) to go on photo scavenger hunts in our neighborhood, culminating in an art show to display our results. If possible, bring a digital camera or phone.

Family Ministry Opportunity • Door of Hope birthday Club

Birthday Club is an easy, fun, and meaningful ministry which the whole family can do together! The first Friday of each month our team provides a simple birthday party for the children & families at Door of Hope.  Door of Hope is a Christ Centered ministry to equip homeless families in our neighborhood to rebuild their lives.  The families on our birthday club team volunteer 3 or  4 Fridays out of the year to provide a cake, game or craft as part of the birthday celebration.  This is an important way we have been able to build relationships with these families.  We’re looking to expand the team in 2014, for more information about how you can be a part, contact Vikki Randall at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
