- Living in Community with the Bereaved: Do's and Don'ts
Membership and Involvement
This team welcomes and assists visitors to PCC, hosts luncheons for newcomers, helps them become connected and enfolded into our church body, and guides those who wish to join PCC as members (a process that includes a New Members Class). This area also oversees ushers and the hospitality time after the service each week, where helpers are always needed to set up and clean up our bountiful spread of refreshments!

Pasadena Covenant offers a bereavement ministry to those who have gone through a loss. There are various ways we try to connect with those who find themselves on this most unwanted journey. At Easter time we gather for a time to share memories with others who have experienced loss and to recognize how we need the hope of the resurrection. We call this shared time "Buried with Christ". Before Christmas we also gather to recognize that the holidays are not always the happiest of times as we miss those whome we've lost, and when it seems everyone else is having such a good time. We also provide a series of pamphlets produced by Stephens Ministries called Journeyling Through Grief to those we know that are on this difficult path. In addition, sometimes you may just need someone to talk to who will listen and has been on the journey themselves. Let us know i you'd lke to come alongside as we take one step at a time.

The ministry of the Spiritual Care team includes preparing and serving communion monthly; coordinating service and support to the homebound and others in need; assisting with baptism; and distributing benevolences to those with financial challenges. Volunteers are most welcome.
This ministry team creates transformative learning experiences for all ages of our community. Our goal is to help others cooperate with God’s work in them by becoming people of integrity who love God and his Word, and who love their neighbors as themselves. Our team guides and intentionally implements activities that integrate biblical understanding with social responsibility and service.
