Worship & Arts
Pasadena Covenant Church has long been known for its creative use of the arts—dance, drama, visual arts, music—in Sunday morning worship. We invite you to add your voice!
Worship & Arts Team
This Ministry Team meets quarterly to contemplate worship themes and brainstorm about how the use of the arts might add to the bringing of the Word to the congregation on Sunday mornings. Writers, actors, dancers, liturgists and artists of all kinds are welcome. Meetings TBA on Sundays from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
If you are interested in learning more about ways you can offer your musical gifts in worship at Pasadena Covenant—through singing or instrumental accompaniment—please contact Thomas Hale.
During the school year, the Pasadena Covenant Children's Choir sings monthly on Sunday mornings and performs a musical in the spring. During rehearsals, children learn singing technique, xylophone and other percussion instrument parts, music reading and sight-singing, and play music games. The choir is open to all children in grades 1 through 6, including those from the community. It is not necessary to attend Pasadena Covenant--all are welcome! Rehearsals (during the school year) are Mondays from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.
Miriam Singers is a choir for girls in grades 6-12. Rehearsal is on Sundays from 12-1:00 pm in the choir room.
Stations of the Cross
From March 23rd - April 5th, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, the Gathering Place will be open to view the Stations of the Cross. The Stations of the Cross are the artistic expressions of the traditional stations and these will be up and on display through Easter. Several artists within our community, of all ages, were a part of what happened last year and we look forward to this again this year.
